Before world war 1 "Maagen" made some cross Atlantic voyages, one of them in 1909 from Dysart with coal to St Johns, Newfoundland and back with fishoil to Glasgow. The owner sold "Maagen" in 1916 to Chr. Breinholt, Esberg who sold her shortly thereafter to J.H.Stegemann, Marstal - then sold to Swedish owners and lost in 1941.
